Dovonex ointment is a psoriasis treatment that helps to reduce redness and scaly or flaky skin patches. It helps your skin become smoother and clearer while easing other irritating psoriasis symptoms. If you’re looking for a psoriasis treatment that’s suitable for those ages 6 or over, Dovonex could be the ideal treatment to clear up your skin.

How Dovonex ointment works
Dovonex psoriasis ointment contains an active ingredient called calcipotriol, which is a type of vitamin D. As vitamin D is one of the nutrients that control how your skin cells grow and reproduce, it works to relieve psoriasis by reducing the number of cells your skin makes. This prevents the build-up of dead cells that causes scaly or red patches of psoriasis, easing your symptoms and helping you feel more comfortable in your skin.

Directions
Before using Dovonex ointment for psoriasis, you should wash your hands and make sure the area you’re going to treat is clean and dry. Using your finger, apply a thick layer of ointment to the area of skin which has psoriasis and rub it in. Wash your hands again after you apply the ointment. Use this treatment once or twice a day, as recommended by your prescriber.
