Rozex Gel is a topical treatment that helps with redness and spots associated with rosacea.
 
How Rozex Gel works
Rozex Gel contains the active ingredient metronidazole, an antiprotazole and antibacterial agent.
Metronidazole has been shown to help control infection and inflammation in rosacea.
 
Directions
Always use Rozex Gel exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 
Wash and dry the affected areas of the skin before applying this product. 
Apply a thin layer to all the affected areas and rub in well. Be careful to avoid your eyes.
You should apply Rozex Gel twice a day, morning and evening. 
 
Side effects
Like all medicines, Rozex Gel may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects of this product may include:
 

Dry skin 
Redness of the skin 
Itching of the skin 
Skin discomfort 
Skin irritation 
Worsening of rosacea 

 
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
 
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 
 
Warnings
Rozex Gel may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have ever had a blood disorder.
Avoid exposure to sunlight and UV light while using this product.
 
Using/taking other medicines
If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before using this product. 
 
Age restrictions 
This product is unsuitable for anyone under 18 years old.
 
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
This product is not recommended for use during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new medicine. 
 
Alcohol
You should avoid drinking alcohol when you are using this product.
 
Storage information
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
