The cream contains two key ingredients working together: clotrimazole, a proven antifungal that targets and destroys the fungi causing your infection, and hydrocortisone acetate, a gentle steroid that calms inflammation and reduces that uncomfortable swelling, redness, and itching. 
Directions
Always use Canesten HC cream exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. First, pierce the tube seal by flipping the cap over and pressing it onto the end. 
For foot infections, wash and dry your feet thoroughly, especially between the toes. Apply a thin layer (about 1cm) to the affected area twice daily and gently rub in. Don’t cover with bandages, and always wash your hands after use. 
This cream contains a steroid component, which means it should not be used for longer than 7 days to manage any infection and its symptoms.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this cream may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Side effects may include:

Itching
Rash
Blisters
Burning
Discomfort
Swelling
Irritation
Redness or peeling of skin
Blurred vision

May reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives
This product is flammable; do not smoke or go near naked flames while using this product. Fabric that has come into contact with this product burns more easily

Storage information
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Once opened, use within 6 months. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
