Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer is a treatment for fungal nail infections. It treats your infection and stops it from spreading to your healthy nails. 
The lacquer is easy to apply and can treat up to 2 nails at a time.
 
How Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer works
Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer contains the active ingredient amorolfine hydrochloride, an antifungal medication. It kills the fungi that have infected your nail, preventing the infection from spreading. 
It allows your nail time to recover, letting a healthy nail grow to replace your damaged one. 
 
Directions
Always use Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 
 
To begin, file the affected area of your nail with a new nail file. Clean the nail with the swab provided. Using the applicator, apply the lacquer to the affected area and allow it to dry for 3 minutes. Repeat these steps for each affected nail.
Once you have finished, use the swab to clean the applicator.
 
Side effects
Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include: 
 

Nail damage or nail discolouration 
Fragile or brittle nails
Burning sensation on your skin
Minor allergic reactions 

 
If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
 
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 
 
Warnings
Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if:
 

You have diabetes
You are receiving treatment for a weak immune system
You have poor circulation in your hands and feet 
Your nail is severely damaged or infected 

 
This product is flammable. Do not use it near open flames and other ignition sources.
 
Storage information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
